Hi, I’m Emily — the heart behind Emily Bennett Photography, based in my hometown of Canby, Oregon.

Photography, for me, has always been about feeling. The way sunlight filters through trees during a family session, the nervous excitement in a senior’s eyes before they step into their future, or the quiet warmth between two people in love — these are the pieces of life that make time stand still. I believe that photographs should do more than just look beautiful; they should make you feel something every time you see them.
 

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m living a life full of the little things that bring me joy. I’m a proud French bulldog mom, a caffeine enthusiast who rarely says no to a good coffee, and a reality TV fan who believes every show is a lesson in human connection (and a little bit of chaos). I’m also an insurance professional — which might sound like a funny balance, but it’s given me an appreciation for relationships, reliability, and taking care of people in all seasons of life. I also couldn't do any of this without my boyfriend, Roman & my family.

Faith is an important part of who I am. As a daughter of Christ, I believe that every person’s story is uniquely beautiful and worthy of being remembered. Photography is one of the ways I feel closest to that truth — capturing small reflections of grace, love, and light in the people I meet.
